Directions to the NCRCC Flying Field
From Springfield or Windsor Locks Area
Take I91 to exit 45, Rte. 140, Warehouse Point. Follow route 140 east toward Ellington. Be sure to follow all road signs for 140. The field is located approximately 8.5 mile from I91. After passing the Ellington town line, you will pass the regional transfer station on your left. Continue on about ¾ mile until you come to a fork in the road. Route 140 will make a sharp turn to the right, a smaller road veers to the left, and there is a large farmhouse in the middle with concrete barriers in front. Take this left (Muddy Brook Rd.), go about 200 yards and turn left onto Green Road. At the top of the hill the pavement ends, continue one mile to the field on your left.

Take I-84 east to exit 66, Bolton/Tunnel Road. Turn left at the end of the ramp and go to the blinking light. Turn left onto Bolton Rd. and go over I-84 to the traffic light at the intersection of Route 30. Turn right then immediately left onto West Street, next to the Police Station. Follow West St. about 3 miles to the light at the intersection of Routes 74 and 83. At this intersection there will be a 7-11, Gas Station, and a Church. Go straight onto Rte. 83 and follow to the intersection of Route 286 (Kloter Farms on the left). Turn left onto 286 and continue on to Ellington center (don’t blink or you’ll miss it!). At the center cross over onto Route 140 west. Follow this approximately 3 miles. You will pass by a recreation are with soccer and baseball fields on your right, then a golf course on your left. You will then pass over a small bridge and the above-mentioned farmhouse will be on your right. Turn right onto Muddy Brook Rd., then left onto Green Rd. Follow as above.
